The Fox series ran this week. As I have mentioned before, the local Fox affiliate here in Nashville is covering our family’s story, showing what it’s like for a military family during deployment.
They started following us in early December, before Cliff left, and they are doing updates every couple of months and will do so until Cliff comes home. We decided to let them for a couple of reasons; we felt it was important for other people to know and understand what it’s like for a military family being separated, and also, we wanted to have the opportunity to show Who we rely on for our strength during this time.
This is the second series they’ve done. The first ran in February and showed everything leading up to and including the goodbye at the airport. This part shows a lot of Caleb and his class. Don’t miss Part 2 – Caleb’s reading debut!
Here are the three parts. You can also visit Fox17 and click on the links there (Real Player is available).

Wow Sara – thanks for sharing that. My prayers are with you guys.
Sara,
Thanks for posting the links to the stories. As I told you last week, your family’s story has had a profound impact on our family, especially my 11 year old son.
Thank you for opening up a very private and intense time of your life so that others can be touched and changed.
Love the blog! I linked it on mine because I want my friends to “meet” you.
Thanks again. If we can do ANYTHING, let us know!
Blessings,
Dori Cook
Sara, what a great keepsake. To have your separation chronicled like this is not only rare, but a great gift for the future.
Thanks for sharing this. Wow!
