The Tennessean called me two days ago and asked if I would participate in their editorial page topic today and I agreed. Here is a link for those wishing to read it.

My original title – Cost of War Doesn’t Outweigh Cost of Failure

Since I started this blog, it’s been my policy NOT to talk a lot about politics here, if at all, especially related to the war. A couple of reasons – it’s a fire starter. People are very passionate about what they believe, on one side or the other, and thanks to the seeming anonymity of the internet, manners and personal etiquette sometimes get thrown out the window reducing folks to namecalling and badgering. Just to be blunt, I don’t have the time or energy for it. The second reason is pretty much the first – I’m a big believer in debate, but I don’t have the time to sit in front of my blog all day to do it.

I use my columns to share my thoughts on the political front, but my purposes for this blog is to share my thoughts on life, faith and military families. Readers are always welcome to express their thoughts through my contact page when the comment feature is unavailable.
