This has been a rough week. I feel like I’m on my own with a lot of things. Yesterday, I had a long conversation with God basically repeating what so many others have said, I’m sure…. “A LITTLE HELP PLEASE?”
But then this morning I saw this in my inbox. . .
“I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.”Psalm 121:1–4
We can look to the mountains for our strength, but we won’t find it there. We can look to others for validation, for strength, but many times, we still won’t find it. Only by keeping our focus on God will we find our true strength. It doesn’t matter what or what doesn’t happen; what does matter is that we remember that our help can ONLY TRULY come from God, the One who made Heaven and Earth. He doesn’t sleep… He is always there, always holding us up when we feel like we can’t stand any more.
So if you’re feeling a little like me today, a little shaky, a little unsure, wondering how the next step will go, reach out and take God’s hand. He’s walking beside us all the way, encouraging, comforting, and supporting.
You can’t get any better help than that!

I read your post the other day as my birthday approached and had to step back and look around to make sure you weren’t looking over my shoulder. I have been running into a lot of the same thoughts and feelings and decided to go back through some of my earlier devotions to find strength and came across this verse as well. I have since decided to open my own blog and record what God is saying to me in my time with him in hopes that someone may need some words of peace as i did and will come across my post and it will speak to them as yours has spoken to me.
Thank you again.
Amen! I haven’t been by in a while so I’m catching up. Amen to the latest post as well. Take care.
