After quite a LONG while, I am happy to let you know that the faith-based military news site I started publishing almost four years ago, is now back LIVE!

AGreaterFreedom.com was started after I got back from my two trips to Iraq in 2003. After the book I did with Oliver North came out in 2004, we got such a good response from people who enjoyed reading the stories of what God was doing in the lives of military, that I decided to take it to the web. Having never run my own website before, little did I know what I was getting myself into! Let’s just say I have learned a lot, particularly about computer programmers and web developers.

I have to say that this website would not be up right now were it not for three very important people. Kelli Standish, owner of Pulsepoint Design, was incredible in her efforts to help me get the site away from a not so very nice web programmer, and put me in contact with Tim Goyer and Spiff Dog Design , an extremely nice and talented web programmer! Their diligence and commitment to helping me get the site back up and running is the only reason AGF is now back.

The other very important person in this saga is Jessica Alley. I have never met Jessica in person but she is a sister military wife. I actually interviewed her husband, Will, for an article I was working on quite a while back. Will recently rejoined the Army as a chaplain – he is my favorite kind of chaplain, I have to say, because I saw firsthand that the chaplains who have served as regularly military before they got their call from God for the chaplaincy, to me at least, seem to have the automatic respect and connection with others that they’re ministering to.

Anyway, through some “random” events, Jessica and I connected by email and she agreed to serve as my volunteer managing editor for the site. With everything that I have going on, there is no way that I could devote a lot of time to AGF right now, and Jessica has done (and is doing) an amazing job of searching for stories and posting on the site.

All that to say – we are looking for more folks to help her! If you are a writer, or you’re someone with passion for the military and for God and bringing those two together, we would love to talk to you about helping us with AGF. We are looking for writers, editors, and people who enjoy searching for good articles to pass on to others. This can be in the form of first-person columns, regular features or news articles, even reviews of products (music, books, videos, etc.).

Let me know if you’d like to get involved! All positions are voluntary.

Thanks! Have a wonderful Monday!
