“And the days feel like years when I’m alone…”
This is a verse from Avril Lavigne’s song “When You’re Gone.” Sorry to put yet another Avril song in front of you. This one I found when I first started visiting my friend Amy’s blog. I finally broke down and bought the CD. I don’t necessarily like all her music, but a few of her songs have lyrics I can very much relate to.
I’m posting this mainly in defense to my husband who has been having a good chuckle at my expense. Twice, maybe even three times in the last couple of weeks, he has gotten one of these in his inbox.
“Where are you? I haven’t heard from you in days. Are you ok?”
To which he gently replies…
“Honey, we talked the day before yesterday. And you got an email from me yesterday. I’m fine.”
Usually after I send him an email like that, I do remember, that, oh, yeah, it hasn’t been that long.
It just feels that long. See, honey? Avril understands…
