We had to keep it under wraps until the contract was signed, but I’m happy to finally be able to announce that I have signed a new book deal with Zondervan, a division of HarperCollins! I’m so excited!
GOD STRONG: Nine Spiritual Truths Every Military Wife Should Know is my heart’s cry for military wives and I believe really represents what Wives of Faith is all about. The seed of it was developed while I was going through our deployment last year. Almost eight months into it, I realized that I had completely given into the whole mentality that a military wife is a strong wife – trying to do everything on my own strength instead of God’s. I was worn out, bogged down with life and feeling completely used up when God began showing me some things I needed to know and needed to remember. I hope to pass those lessons onto other wives in this new book.
I am so grateful that Zondervan has seen the need for this book. I talk with military wives every week who are struggling to walk in faith despite the pressures and challenges they must face and cope with every day. It’s my prayer that we can all continue to learn together how to rely on God’s strength above our own, and truly realize what it means to be GOD STRONG!
I apologize (again) for the long absence from blogging. But I’ve been working on Weekend Warrior No More and resting from one event and getting ready for the Wives of Faith November Conference. It is not too late to sign up – if you are a military wife, please consider joining us Nov. 7-8 here in Nashville. We have a great lineup of speakers, there will be praise and worship, and some great opportunities to connect with other wives.
Hope to get back on the blogging horse soon… there is a lot to talk about – just need to find the time!

That’s awesome, Sara!! I know it will be a great source of encouragement for military wives that will point them to the Lord. Thanks for using the gift of writing that God has given you.
Laura
thank you yet again for speaking to ME!! I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked/told “I don’t know how you do it” Honestly it annoys me, do I really have a choice?? Now I have a great response. It’s not ME it’s God that gives me the strength and the power to suck it up and move on! Thank you again Sara.
