Hello and welcome to my site! I am so glad you stopped by.

For the last several years, I have written a lot about the military. I've traveled to the East Med and to Baghdad, reporting on service members in the midst of war as well as their families waiting for their loved ones to return. I've published a website  reporting the good news that's happening overseas and I've told story after story of what God has done in the lives of individual service members and spouses.

But it's one thing to tell the story; it's quite another to live it. That's just what God orchestrated, however, when my husband, a Seabee with the Navy Reserves, was deployed in 2007 to Iraq. Suddenly, I knew first-hand what it meant to be away from your family. How it felt to wait for a phone call. How it felt to welcome your husband home. The military life was no longer just about other people; it was about us, too. And I realized how important it was that we make it about Him.  

I am passionate about encouraging military wives--active, Reserve and Guard--and reminding them that they are not alone. That's one of the reasons I started Wives of Faith, the organization I direct. It's my prayer that we can connect military wives together all over this country for encouragement and support and that marriages and families can stay whole and healthy as a result. I hope you'll be inspired to do something as well.
